Everything you said is so true and it hurts that most of the time, we are stuck unable to do something except changing the things around us little by little. I hate this need to incessantly control women throughout their lives. Reading that you so narrowly missed an honor killing (how the hell is there any honor in it?!) is scary. I am writing to bring visibility to these issues and speak up, but reality can get so horrifying.
