Haha it does make sense more when it's "live a life you will be remembered for" but I think "you will remember" means that we'll remember it when we're near the end and think "Damn! Look at all these wonderful things I did that are etched in my heart".

Also, the "Yes they did that but that's because their family is loaded" is true in so many cases of sheer privilege.
